Thanks to our clients, more than 330 people with disabilities have dived as part of their emotional transformation process. This, and other support programs for the native communities of the islands are the basis of our social responsibility process.

PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Corals are sessile organisms (that do not move to other areas) so they are exposed to various threats from which they cannot flee. With this program, two beings with reduced mobility, corals and people with disabilities, come together to achieve common well-being: The coral reefs of the Rosario Coral Islands provide people with disabilities with an incredible environment in which they can float “like flying” in a world full of incredible beings and unparalleled colors, and in gratitude, people with disabilities become ambassadors for coral reefs.

Over the past 16 years, we have taken more than 330 people with disabilities dived with us as part of their emotional rehabilitation process.

Diving Planet is a diving center specialized in people with disabilities and belongs to the international initiative DIVING WITHOUT BARRIERS.
If you are a person with a disability, or you know someone with this condition, you can take the adapted diving courses or the courses of “companion of a diver with a disability” that we teach at our dive center.

LOCAL COMMUNITIES

Developing programs in which natives of the Rosario Islands advance in the study of marine ecosystems, the best way to protect them and how to turn them into a resource for the economic well-being of their families.

Preparing fishermen and local youth as nature eco-guides, developing courses for natives of the islands as boat pilots responsible for the environment, offering rescue and first aid courses to native guides and above all, with our “GUARDIANES DEL ARRECIFE” program led by DIVING PLANET Y LA AGENDA DEL MAR, one of the most recognized organizations in Colombia in printing environmental conservation publications around marine and coastal ecosystems, conducting nature workshops and designing interactive elements that They offer locals a playful and fun environment through which they learn, protect and empower themselves with their natural resources.
