THE PAST,
IN ICONS OF OUR HISTORY
1995: DIVING PLANET IS BORN AS "ECOBUZOS"
The dream of a group of marine biologists became Colombia’s first PADI 5-Star Dive Center, which would later evolve into Diving Planet.
1996: FIRST DAY OF UNDERWATER CLEANING
An initiative that became Colombia’s largest marine conservation event, removing 7 tons of waste with the help of over 100 volunteers.
1997 FIRST REPRODUCTION EVENT
With the first observation of coral gamete spawning, we began our journey into sexual reef reproduction, guided by expert Elvira Alvarado.
1998-2025 CONSERVATION ACTIONS.
Since 1998, we have continuously carried out marine conservation efforts, including installing mooring buoys, species monitoring, and lionfish control, among others.
2006 FIRST ADAPTIVE DIVING DAY
The first 40 people with disabilities experience a “no limits” adventure through our adaptive diving program, thanks to Janet Perry de Saravia, director of CIREC.
2008 NATIONAL CORAL REEF DAY
We led the creation of Colombia’s National Coral Reef Day, supported by the Ministry of Environment and our campaign “Bringing Color Back to Corals”.
2016 OUR FOUNDATION IS FORMALLY BORN.
A non-profit initiative is born, supported by Diving Planet, now known as DIVE TO HEAL, focused on coral restoration and adaptive diving.
2022 THE FIRST CORAL BABIES ARE BORN
As part of an interdisciplinary team, we transplanted the first “coral babies” to the reefs and have continued this restoration work without interruption.

We will continue leading adaptive diving programs in Colombia, providing inclusive experiences for people with disabilities and proving that limits exist more in the mind than in the body.
PROTECTING THE FUTURE
By taking part in the creation of Coraltheca, the first coral rescue and sexual reproduction center, we commit to one of the most ambitious coral restoration projects in Colombia.
REGENERATIVE ADVENTURES
Through citizen science, Diving Planet will be a “factory of underwater experiences”, where divers worldwide enjoy unforgettable adventures while supporting regenerative tourism.
